Yep...Today, I am THAT Mom....

Have you ever had one of THOSE mornings?  Well, today, this is what I feel like doing....pulling my hair out....and running down the block, screaming, "Help Me!  My Daughter is driving me C.R.A.Z.Y!"

Seriously, though, I dedicate this picture to all of you who have parented, or are still parenting, special needs kids.  My daughter is now 20, but she attends the Special Ed program through the local high school, and sometimes just making sure that she gets out the door, on time, is enough to make me feel as if I am on a treadmill but getting nowhere.....I feel slightly out of breath and exhausted, but I still have to keep on running!

*SIGH*

I sure wish that she had come with some kind of instruction manual, or at least an off button for her hyperness!  ;)

As much as I love her, she does test me and try me....and as I sat and thought of that phrase this morning, this came to mind:

"When He has tested me I shall come forth as gold" – Job 23:10

May all of you be blessed with much patience, strength, and wisdom as you go forth today.  I know that I will also be including two tylenol and a warm compress for my aching head!!

  1. I'm with you, sister! I've had such a time with the girls this weekend, I thought my brain was going to fold in on itself! I finally went out yesterday and took my frustrations out on a briar patch that I'm trying to kill. Then forced Hubs to take me for a ride to the next town over, just to get away from the house. I felt like a new person when it was over. LOL

  2. You know...I almost feel sorry for that briar patch!!! LOL ;)

My hubby is still off of work because of his shoulder injury, and I told him that we are going to go to the flower/plant place, just outside of town, so I can buy something for myself. I am feeling the need for some retail therapy!!! I only have a few $$ to spare, but just getting away from my house, for a little while, will do me some good! I have to recover before 3:30. That is when she'll be home!! :)

BTW: Did you know that there is a photobucket deleted image right smack in the middle of your blog every day? I have angle the words around it so I can read...

But you know what?! Leave it alone for today! You need a break!

  8. Val...Thanks for pointing out that stupid photobucket deleted image thing. I didn't realize that everyone else could see it! It had something to do with the background that I used to have on the blog. When I deleted it, I didn't get rid of the coding. I think it's gone now. Let me know!! :)
