SAVINGS TIPS

I found this on the internet, and thought it was worth sharing with all of you. Have you ever heard of America Saves? I hadn't until this morning. This is what they have on their website:

"Are you ready to take charge of your financial future? America Saves is here to help. Enrolled savers receive the American Saver newsletter which offers information on a wide variety of savings topics and it will introduce you to other Savers who are achieving their financial goals. We'll also provide email access to free financial planning advice and, best of all, America Saves will motivate you to discover for yourself the peace of mind that accompanies having money in the bank. Let us help you build wealth, not debt."

Does this sound like something you could use? If so, you can enroll here: America Saves.

LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK! I love comments and suggestions! :)

  1. I have bookmarked the site to check later, but I did find one tip that made me laugh...

"Bounce one fewer check each month. The $20-30 you save by not bouncing one check a month would save you enough money to nearly fully fund a $500 emergency savings account."

How about don't bound ANY checks. But I guess that not everyone does that.

Still, there are some good things there, too.

  2. I know...That tip struck me as hysterically funny! I thought the same thing..Just Don't Bounce Checks!

I know that my neighbor has a really bad habit of bouncing checks..she pays so much money for each bounced one. I told her to go to strictly cash for most of her stuff, that way, she won't bounce checks. She just can't get the logic behind my thinking! UGH!!
