SAVINGS ACCOUNT UPDATE

I have added $50.00 to my Savings Account!! I know it doesn't seem like much, but every dollar adds up!! YAY ME!! :)

MP Dunleavey is one of my favorite writers on MSN Money. Here is a little blurb from this article that she wrote, "How much you save has little to do with how much you make, a study suggests. So forget the excuses; here's a roadmap for finding money you didn't know you had."

This is the article that the above blurb comes from: money central. The title of the article is:

"The Basics: 20 ways to save on a shoestring."

In this article, she lists some terrific ideas, like:
  • Re-evaluate. Re-evaluate. Re-evaluate
  • Don't overpay your taxes
  • Seek inspiration
  • Cry poverty -- with style

Check out the above article and you'll find some great ideas on how to turn your dimes into dollars!!

  3. Hi there Lin and Rose!

Lin, We are going to be at Pontiac today, then U of I. We need to somehow find one another at U of I! What Fun!! :)

Rose, if you were here and had a kid in Band that would be at the U of I competition, then we could meet you, also!! Maybe when you and hubby finally get in the States, we'll have a chance somewhere to meet! :)

  6. Sort of like location, location, in real estate just do it and start saving even if it's a bottle with a cork.

  10. Good job, one way of saving also is to make an auto deposit every month, this way you wouldn't realize that every month you have a savings..
